Meet Mikey Greenblatt

Growing up, I often saw Jewish comedians making fun of Judaism or relying on stereotypes. I didn’t see anyone who truly represented the average religious Jew. I wanted to show that it’s possible to stay true to who you are and still succeed in comedy.

With a background in improv and acting, I was already part of the entertainment world. Comedy felt like the toughest but also the most rewarding path because it allowed me to write my own story and control how I presented myself on stage. During these dark times it is important now more than ever to bring light to the world.

I’ve learned during my years in comedy that the only thing Jews love more than laughing, is asking!
How Jewish is your material?

I have performed for audiences that ranged from completely Secular, to Chassidish! I pride myself on doing material the audience can relate to, ensuring that everyone feels included and has a great time!

Will the audience be scarred for life?
No! I speak with each comedy booker/event organiser beforehand to get a feel for the exact level of Kosher the audience is.
Do you only do Stand-up comedy?
No! I do Improv workshops as well and have taught at schools, camps, and events. It’s a great way to break the ice and an incredible skill to have!
Do you travel for your shows?
Absolutely! I have performed all over the country in addition to the UK, and Israel with upcoming dates in Australia and Europe.
